Nebraska Dreaming

This morning I had plans to take the boys to a flower show at the Chatteau. Yes there are serveral near us in our small farming town of Lens.
The weather is cold today and very gray. When I think of Omaha there is only two seasons?? Summer and Winter. Surely it is smarter to buy a home with a hill for sledding then?
All joking aside, it is gray here and I am dreaming of a nap in the sun this summer at my dad's in Georgia. Nebraska isn't real yet.
Mom and Greg are coming to get Major ( the dog) this week. You cannot ship a dog easily, we know this. Philip tried to explain this prior to me picking out a cute fuzzy sniffing fur ball in November. He is the best dog ever, we had a great plan Philip would take him to Mom's in Missouri, at minimal cost. This of course all went south and we discovered that it was cheaper to pay someone to come get the dog than ship him by cargo. American Dream part 2

Historian and writer James Truslow Adams coined the phrase "American Dream" in his 1931 book Epic of America:
“ The American Dream is that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is a difficult dream for the European upper classes to interpret adequately, and too many of us ourselves have grown weary and mistrustful of it. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.[2]"
People don't know your interesting unless you tell them you are। I don't find it all that amazing we have lived in three countries in 18 years. Four if you count a tour in Korea for a year. It's almost pathetic we have not learned an one language besides English fluently. What is absurd though makes us interesting.
